Thirty-two books entered the game... only one will win! Welcome to the tournament of tournaments:
March Book Madness!
How do you try and interest students in reading and expose them to new genres? Make it into a friendly school-wide tournament of course! Luckily for me, this idea coincided with one of the most popular events in college sports: March Madness! Answering a survey through Google Forms, students will vote each day to send their favorite book, or the book they would be most interested in reading, to the next round. Students who are unfamiliar with any of these titles can scan the QR Code to read a summary of the book. The winners of each genre as well as the overall winner will be featured in the library. Our hope is to expand upon this activity and to hold book clubs for the winning book. A huge thank you goes out to my colleagues who helped make this vision a reality, this really was a team effort!
